For more than 20 years, I was a firefighter with the City of Portland. These days, the only thing I’m rushing toward is your dog, camera in hand, probably on my knees in the grass, making squeaky noises my old firefighter colleagues would have a field day making fun of me for.

I’ve been shooting high-end photography for nearly two decades. Most of that time I spent traveling the world, chasing the most amazing light imaginable: sunrises over mountains, sunsets on far-off coastlines, and landscapes that reminded me what an incredible planet we share. I’ve hauled gear up trails, waited hours for the perfect glow, and turned those moments into fine art prints for people’s homes.

Turns out all those hours sitting on a cold ridge, waiting for the light to turn just right, were secret training. Chasing the perfect glow taught me patience like nothing else, and it’s exactly what you need with pets. Whether your pup needs twenty minutes to sniff every blade of grass or decides the squirrel is way more interesting than me, I’m happy to wait. The best shot always comes to those who hang in there.

I’ve been a huge animal lover my whole life, and the dogs I’ve shared my home with have brought me more joy than I can put into words. (Also more muddy pawprints, stolen socks, and 3 a.m. zoomies than I can count.) So while I still love exploring this amazing world, I’m now pointing my lens at one of life’s greatest joys: our pets.

That’s what Zoomies Pet Photography is all about. I bring the same eye for light I developed on mountaintops to capture your pup’s personality: the goofy grins, the head tilts, the full-speed sprints, and the quiet moments on the couch. Then I turn them into gorgeous prints you’ll love seeing every day.

Every session starts with a free meet-and-greet, so your dog gets to know me (and my treat pocket) before the camera ever comes out. No pressure, no stiff poses, just fun.

When I’m not photographing dogs, you’ll find me kiteboarding, hiking trails all around the world, catching a good sunrise, or planning my next adventure, ideally with a four-legged co-pilot.
